The day the Internet went dark.

Every Friday I take a bunch of video and image links that I’ve seen and watched during the week, put them in an email and send them around the office, I’m *that* guy. Tomorrow a large number of popular websites will be going dark, this may vary from a total black out to a symbolic CSS change. You can see the list here: http://sopastrike.com/

There isn’t much I can say about the actual proposed legislation that hasn’t been said already or won’t make me sound like a capitalism hating hippy (I’m not one) and since these are American laws it doesn’t matter anyway.

So getting back to the Friday links, here are a bunch of links that may interest you if your usual suppliers let you down. If you get through all of these, maybe read a book?

Sunset Timelapse from Tower Bridge in HD

A friend of mine Fokrul and I spent some time on Tower Bridge in high winds getting photos for this great time lapse. Most of the credit goes to him of course.

Coldest August Ever?

There are not a lot of days when you can take photos of wall art this month, unless you want to take said photos in the rain. I hope September is a lot better. Also I really like the new back-end interface for WordPress, well done everyone involved.

Hipsters, Can’t Live With Them Can’t Live Without Them

So it’s been a while since I posted photos but read the tagline, it’s a half arsed half hearted blog. The bad thing about Brick Lane is the influx of Hipsters when the weather’s great and some big fashion label wants to showcase their wares. The good thing is, they’re all so pretty.

A Winters Evening

Tonight was the first clear day and evening for quite a while so I went out and took some photos after sunset. I would have liked to have tried to get some of the sunset but the hills in London take a bit of time to drive to where as some of the great views, fortunately, do not.
