So to get straight into it, I always recommend .co.uk domains because they are cheap, around £7 for two years. Next is the DNS. While I currently run a Nameserver cluster through my cPanel server and a couple of vps.net nodes to ensure worldwide distribution, I don’t want to keep running a Nameserver cluster just for 20 odd sites for much longer. Looking around for free distributed DNS providers will bring up Cloudflare. So far their free service is perfectly good for any of the websites I host. They have a number of options available and if your website becomes popular they can help spread the load and speed it up through their CDN service.
